As a graduation present, i decided to treat myself to YSL's iconic 'Arty Ring'. I've been wanting one of these baby's for a while... and finally bit the bullet... i guess it'll replace that marc by marc jacobs purse i'd been saving for....?
'A symbol of bohemian, Rive Gauche-chic and outspoken sophistication, this Iconic Arty ring pays homage to the renowned Yves Saint Laurent couture jewelry collection. A textured gold-finish metal setting encases a brilliant stone - a true statement piece that moves effortlessly from day to evening.' - ysl.com

an asian schoolies!
I'm heading to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in a few weeks for schoolies and i couldn't be more excited! Besides wanting to jump into the ocean (& the duty free store) the minute I land, I'm psyched to look at some great art and possibly even make some purchases.
My friend has many connections over there, so im sure it'll be 'party, party, party' like a school leaver should... but I'm determined to carve out some time for art-gawking, sunning, and shopping.. at KLCC. its Malaysia's premier shopping centre located at the base of the Petronas Twin Towers (aparently only a few minutes from our apartment) in Kuala Lumpur City Centre.
Here, some of the things I'll be packing for the long weekend--a cross-body bag, a Tori Praver swim suit, some statement jewels, sunnies, UV protection for the lips and hair, a knit sweater for the cooler nights, and the novel I've been meaning to get started on for weeks. xo

Primal!
SCHOOL IS OVER, UNI APPLICATIONS ARE IN, VCA AUDITIONS (AND CALLBACKS!?!?) ARE COMPLETE!! and now its time to fill my holidays with more blogging! (and drawing tanning, shopping and traveling - to Kuala Lumpur with a girlfriend for a week and a half for schoolies!)
In other news... IVE GONE PRIMAL! ive been living primally for about two weeks and i've never felt better! Reading Nutrition and Physical Degeneration by Weston A. Price solidified my belief that “traditional” diets provide – historically and currently – the raw materials for healthy living. “Traditional” diets varied greatly from one corner of the globe to another – but they all relied on locally produced foods free of refined sugar, flour, and heavy processing. In general, the healthiest folks consumed a diet heavy in animal products from wildlife that ate and lived in harmony with their environment. These are values we can emulate today.
In short? Eat food as it occurs in nature. Eat meat and fat (yes, FAT!) from pasture-raised animal sources; enjoy cold-pressed plant fats from avocados, olives and coconut; use plenty of herbs & spices; eat lots of veggies. Variety is key. Lift heavy things and engage in quick, intense bursts of exercise a few times each week. Sleep. Be full, happy, and well. Simple. AND BRILLIANT!

WINE

Clockwise from top left: Zara, Won Hundred, Warehouse, Monki
I'm hopelessly in love with all things burgundy at the moment. I already own the Monki clutch and Zara knit but I'm now utterly preoccupied by the stunning Bordeaux suede version of my black Won Hundred flatforms.
aaaaaaaand my next pay check is doomed.

an unimaginable thing..
Imagine a puddle waking up one morning and thinking, "This is an interesting world I find myself in — an interesting hole I find myself in — fits me rather neatly, doesn't it? In fact it fits me staggeringly well, must have been made to have me in it!" This is such a powerful idea that as the sun rises in the sky and the air heats up and as, gradually, the puddle gets smaller and smaller, it's still frantically hanging on to the notion that everything's going to be alright, because this world was meant to have him in it, was built to have him in it; so the moment he disappears catches him rather by surprise. I think this may be something we need to be on the watch out for. We all know that at some point in the future the Universe will come to an end and at some other point, considerably in advance from that but still not immediately pressing, the sun will explode. We feel there's plenty of time to worry about that, but on the other hand that's a very dangerous thing to say

is 90's the new vintage?

It’s like this, everything cool about the 90s is all we wanna sport from the boxy denim jackets, to the not cool then, but are cool now shirts… we’re even rockin’ the hairstyles—that means the parts, Kid ‘n’ Play boxes, and Zac Morris haircuts. Color blocking, opposing patterns, cross colors, 90s cartoons gear, did I already mention denim?, shirts tucked in, and most things signature early-mid 90s
The 90s era has left and impact in the world of fashion. Fashion does not mean the amount of dress you wear or do not wear. It is the style which you can carry and represent yourself. Whether you are old or young it is the right and our want to look always the best. Yes it very true that as one grows older we do not pressurize oneself to look more fashionable but at some occasion we do like to do fashion and style.
