im not going to eat until my hair reaches my hip bones

oh my gawwwd. i have my HSC mid-terms on monday through friday. im sad. and stressed.

and above all, i want to leave albury/wodonga. there have been so many people who inspire me lately. thats good. i think. having inspiration surrounding you. constantly -

i set my alarm for 4am tomorrow morning. i need to study ''the crucible' by arthur miller. possibly the most boring play miller's written. i think contextually, its fucking amazing - with the hidden communist, social standard messages. but 15th centuary new england, USA? PURITANISM? FARRK OFFF. i actually need to read it.

CCDC LAUNCH - PRE FALL 2011 - 'FESTIVAL'

AHHH after 3 months of holding off, Belle and I have decised to get off our butts and put together our first collection of our "Cool Kids Can't Die" authentic vintage line!

YAYAYAY! to celebrate opening up, we're offering 20% off for the FIRST WEEK ONLY. VERY, VERY limited stock and sizes.

here's a really small preview
of 'FESTIVAL' collection 2011 - it's rockabilly, boho, sophisticated, casual AND quite brilliant.. (anyone who can wear a glittery/sparkly crop top and still look formal rather than like a Christmas bauble is cool).

springgggggg (europe)

Photobucket

It's the time of the year when it's neither freezing or sunny (well, in the fashionable part of the globe...NOT Australia...)and s/s collections are too optimistic an f/w collection about too pessimistic, so you have to sieve through looks that strike the perfect balance, and I believe the above looks do to some degree.

The first two images are from a cool Paris street style blog that I've only just found out called Easy Fashion in Paris. I really like how the above woman is wearing suspenders with her skirt (and rather than trousers); I like: the balance of netural colours/textures, how it all hangs on her body frame and the practical nature of the look for living a more mundane life.

The fall 2011 Lexington collection -bottom three images- for me is reminiscent of young British/Parisian style (students); it's also like a more fashion forward version of Jack Wills, particularly since this collection has some clothing items branded with the fashion label.

Enjoy!

Grey Coat Pictures, Images and Photos

Grey is the colour you go for when you feel in a good enough mood to not wear black, but the mood isn't quite good enough to tempt you into a more statement defining colour. I have far too many variants of black blazers it's almost irritating: I don't know how I accumulated so many black blazers (in different styles!) and yet not a single one is grey. I have a grey coat, like the first two images above, but a lot more formal -dressing down with it looks great because of the contrast but it's also hard to dress down because of it's strong structure. I'd love to the above coat, I would use and abuse it to no end.

Boyfriend Jeans:

I had a friend who only wore boy fit jeans and they completely suited her, partly because she wore them like she didn't know any other type of jeans existed. That's when my eyes were awoken to the beauty of boy fit jeans, and I now feel like revolting against skinny jeans, which aren't skinny enough for some people (the leggings as trousers people you know who you are): I want to be a bit more modest but chic (it is possible, just look at the below images).
